In a vibrant showcase of knowledge exchange and agricultural advancement, the Transforming African Agricultural Universities to Meaningfully Contribute to Africa’s Growth and Development (TAGDev) Agri-tour recently unfolded at Njiku Farm, nestled within the picturesque Bahati sub-county of Nakuru county. This remarkable event was thoroughly crafted to empower dairy cow farmers hailing from various corners of Nakuru county with the skills and insights needed to not only curtail production costs but also amplify their enterprise profitability.

On the 20th and 21st of July 2023, Egerton University buzzed with energy and excitement as it played host to the 5th National Forum for Universities, TVETs (Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions), and Agricultural Stakeholders. The event took place at the state-of-the-art Physical Science Complex, attracting attendees from across the nation. With the theme, 'Promoting Entrepreneurship and Innovation for Youth Empowerment and National Development,' the forum delved into crucial discussions aimed at driving Kenya's progress towards a more innovative and economically empowered future.

The 1st Kenya Food Systems Conference, held in Nairobi in early April and organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development (MoALD) and the CGIAR Initiative on National Policies and Strategies (NPS), had two key aims: to come up with a set of recommendations to guide food system transformation policies over the coming years and work out how to enhance the dialogue between scientists and policymakers.

The TAGDev team competed in the 8^th edition of the Run for Mau-Egerton University Cross-Country and came out as the 2^nd runner-up in the corporate category. The event was held on Saturday, 25^th February 2023 at the Egerton University sports ground.
