This method allows you to launch the game by bypassing Denuvo's built-in protection using a virtual environment (hypervisor). No modification of the executable file is required, and thanks to the universality of this approach, the solution works on both AMD and Intel systems.
Requirements
- A CPU with support for virtualization technologies: VT-x (Intel) or AMD-V (AMD).
- Game version 1.00.03 (BuildID 22457127) must be installed.
- An archive containing the activator files (see links on relevant resources).
Recommended CS.RIN installation method (no unnecessary complications)
- Extract the contents of the DenuvOwO folder into the game’s root directory, allowing files to be replaced.
- Run VBS.cmd with administrator privileges.
- Wait for the system checks to complete. If everything is ready to go, press 1.
- Once the procedure is finished, choose to reboot (1 — immediately, 2 — later).
- During system startup, press F7 to temporarily disable the mandatory driver signature requirement.
- After logging into the OS, run the activator. The name of the executable file depends on the specific release:
steamclient_loader_x64.exe,HypervisorLauncher.exe,launcher.exe,hypervisor-launcher.exe, orHV-StartGame.exe. - After ending the gaming session and restarting the computer, all security settings will automatically revert to their original state.
A detailed description of all steps and technical nuances is provided in the NFO file located inside the archive.
Important notes before running
- Windows Hello (PIN/fingerprint login) may conflict with the hypervisor—it is recommended to disable this feature before activation.
- If you use BitLocker, prepare a recovery key: enabling the virtual environment may trigger a key request during boot.
Alternative Methods (Obsolete)
For those who want to avoid multiple reboots, there are two older options. However, please note:
- The first requires permanently disabling certain Windows security mechanisms.
- The second may cause a blue screen (BSOD) while gaming.
One-time system setup for working with a hypervisor
If you plan to use this type of activator regularly, follow these steps once. After that, games protected in this way will launch like regular “cracks.”
- Enter the BIOS/UEFI and make sure that:
- Secure Boot is disabled;
- virtualization is enabled (look for SVM or AMD-V for AMD, VT-x for Intel).
- Open a command prompt as an administrator and run the following commands in sequence:
bcdedit /set testsigning on bcdedit /set hypervisorlaunchtype off - Restart your PC.
To return the system to its original state, simply re-enable Secure Boot—the test mode will disable itself. Enabling virtualization does not reduce overall security.
Troubleshooting
If the activator still won’t run, try the following steps (depending on your configuration):
For Intel processor owners
Download the free InSpectre utility and ensure that protections against the Spectre and Meltdown vulnerabilities are disabled. If necessary, disable them via the program’s interface.
Conflict with kernel-level anti-cheat software
Most issues arise with the FaceIt anti-cheat. To stop it, run the following in the Command Prompt (Admin):
sc stop faceit
Antivirus software and built-in Windows protection
Disable Windows Defender or third-party antivirus programs—they may delete the activator files.
Enter the following in cmd (as administrator):
bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on
BIOS settings
Verify that NX Mode (or a similar setting responsible for preventing code execution) is disabled.
